Sharenergy is a not-for-profit organisation which helps communities find, build and own renewable energy generation: we are currently working with hydro power, wind, biomass, biogas and solar projects from our base in the Marches and throughout the UK.
Sharenergy is a Co-operative Society and was established in April 2011. We were originally a spin-off from Energy4All. We focus on a range of renewable generation technologies at the community scale including wind, hydro, solar and renewable heat.
Sharenergy is established to help renewable co-operatives get up and running and provides a wide range of services to this end. We always work closely with community groups and aim to fill in the gaps in their knowledge and capabilities. We also work with landowners and building owners to understand the benefits of community energy and help bring forward more sites.
