We have been working on the Big Solar Co-op for several years now – it’s our flagship solar project and a new take on community solar. Instead of creating more small local solar co-ops, we are working on one big UK-wide co-op with local groups. Like all solar co-ops it is powered by volunteers, and there are lots of ways to be involved – we provide training in solar design, approaching host sites and more. We’re also going to need a large amount of money to achieve our target of building 100 MW of rooftop solar by 2025. In fact our stated aim is to cover every UK rooftop in solar – it’s good to have ambition! We aim to launch our initial share offer in early 2022.
